IIT-Jammu Advertisement for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to contribute to the research and development project titled "Evolutionary optimization of cellular resources and a codon optimization method inspired by natural selection," funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Duration: Initially for one year, with the possibility of extension for a maximum of 4 more months based on performance evaluation.

Nature of the Post: Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute actively to the research project on evolutionary optimization of cellular resources and codon optimization inspired by natural selection.
2. Undertake experimental and analytical tasks as per the project requirements.
3. Collaborate with the project team and adhere to project timelines.
4. Present research findings at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications:

1. M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
2. NET/GATE qualification is desirable.

Remuneration: As per the DBT guidelines and norms.
